TIS Eagles Soar through Season 1 Sports

Let's take a closer look at TIS's first season of sports.

As the first season of sports comes to a close, we want to reflect on the ups and downs our TIS athletics has faced during the past few months. From canceling athletic events to competing in tournaments, our TIS Eagles have persisted in athletics despite uncertainty and hardship. Let's take a closer look at this season of sports at TIS!

Season 1 sports consist of Middle School soccer and High School volleyball. Our boys and girls teams in each sport faced the adversity of being unable to meet on campus. Many athletic events were canceled or postponed indefinitely. This was not the way that we wanted things to go, but we persisted and hoped that we would be able to participate in TIS's excellent athletic programs during season 1.

After the campus reopened, our student-athletes practiced and prepared for games across Tianjin. Our sports teams have already faced off against Wellington and IST with varying wins and losses. At our most recent sporting events, our MS soccer teams defeated Wellington (Boys: 5-0, Girls: 4-1). The Middle School soccer teams were also the champions of the recent ISCOT Middle School soccer tournaments! The boy's HS volleyball team also went up against Wellington but was unfortunately defeated in all three sets.

Regardless of the outcomes, our TIS Eagles soared! We are so proud of our student-athletes and thoroughly enjoyed seeing TIS sports again.

Season 2 is about to begin! The next season of sports is Middle School volleyball and High School basketball. These sports begin in November, so be sure to come to cheer on the Eagles at our upcoming games.
