Our TIS Robotics teams were put to the test at the VEX Robotics Competition! Can they rise to the challenge?
TIS hosted the VEX Robotics Competition in person for the first time in four years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, TIS participated in VEX competitions virtually, but nothing beats the energy, excitement, and joy of competing in person. Sixteen teams from five international schools in China (including TIS) came to our robotics arena to play this year's VEX game: Spin Up.
Through complex challenges, the robotics teams competed to show whose robot was best. Congratulations to team 55930A from Wuhan Yangtze International School for their tournament championship win! The TIS Robotics teams did a great job, too - Teams 82B and 82S made it to the championship final, and team 82B won the Design Award. Excellent job, Eagles!
We had a blast at this year's VEX Robotics Competition. We want to especially thank Mrs. Williams, Ms. Zhang, and Mr. Bassett for their hard work preparing for this year's tournament. Special thanks go to TIS parents Ryan and Moshey, who volunteered as referees for this event. Many more people were involved in making this event a success, and to them, we say, "Thank you, too!"
TIS is involved in robotics throughout the year. Contact us today to learn more about STEM and robotics at TIS. We'll see you at the next VEX Robotics Competition!
