General Announcements

From the TIS Health Office

Last year our school adapted the CDC’s “Heads Up” program in how we deal with concussions. It’s important that we all be aware of the danger of overlooked
concussions. If you or our coaches suspect a student has suffered a concussion, no matter how mild, the student will be taken out of play and evaluated. If you would like to learn more about concussions, see the website as listed below.

International Day - Friday, Oct. 18

Our Annual International Celebration to focus on our cultural diversity here within our TIS Community.

This is achieved by:

  • Traditional clothes from either your own country or from a country of your own choosing. The whole TIS community, including parents, teachers and students are encouraged to visually show off their country. Do not have anything to wear? Please do get in touch with Mrs. Williams.

  • Cultural performances which highlights your country, and its culture.

So if you are a singer, dancer, musician, know martial arts or any other form of cultural entertainment please do contact Mrs. Williams ~ dawn.williams@tiseagles.com

  • International Cuisine - Please do consider making a Dish from your own country or a country of your own choosing. Serving portions are small so you will not be solely responsible for feeding the whole Community. Should you be interested in showcasing your country through this avenue, please do contact Mrs. Williams ~ dwilliams@tiseagles.com or the PTO.

For any parents that will be attending International Day, please be sure to wear your Parent Name Badge. If you do not have one, you may pick one up in the Welcome Center.
