Hear from the Head
TIS Family,
Basketball! If you did not have the opportunity to see the basketball tournament yesterday or today, please come to the tournament portion of the event on Saturday. The LifePlus Basketball Tournament is one of the marquee sporting events on our annual school calendar. The atmosphere for this event is always electric as the boys’ and girls’ teams compete throughout this three-day event. The energy is sure to continue tomorrow, so don’t miss out. Come down to the school to cheer on the Eagles!
You may have noticed, but I did not say anything about winning. Of course, everyone wants to win a sporting event, but we shouldn’t compete in sporting events simply for the purpose of winning. If winning represents our benchmark for success, we will place our identity in winning. If we place our identity in winning, we will also place our identity in losing. Our identity should never be defined by success and failure; it should be defined by how we respond to success and failure.
China Day
The beautiful full moon shining brightly over Tianjin last night reminded me that the Spring Festival is soon upon us. In celebration of the Spring Festival, Tianjin International School will be celebrating our annual China Day. I hope you will join us in person to celebrate the traditions of our host country.
Odyssey Visit
A special thank you to LifePlus’s student wellbeing team, Odyssey. We have been very grateful to have this team on staff throughout the week. They have connected with staff, students, and parents as they support us in strengthening the culture of our school.

Our Director of Educational Technology, Miss Lee Butler will share her knowledge on using the school's learning management system, Canvas.
This session is highly recommended for new parents and existing parents who may need a refresher.
IMPORTANT: Please bring a device (cellphone or laptop) with you and make sure you have logged into Canvas, link, at least once before coming.
