Hear from the Head

TIS Family,

Today is Parent/Teacher Conferences! What a wonderful opportunity it is for parents and teachers to be able to work together to support student education through the end of the school year. The partnership between a child’s parents and the school is foundational in our philosophy of education. Working together to support student learning effectively is not only a passion of our school, it is something we strive to do with excellence.

If you are a parent of a 6th – 8th grader, like myself, you had the opportunity to experience a Student Led Conference today, also known as a SLC. These conferences are uniquely geared to provide an opportunity for the student to be actively involved in setting their own goals for their learning and reporting on them appropriately. These are great opportunities for students to develop responsibility. Additionally, students witness how their parents and the school are working together to support them.

Principals' Coffee

Do you want to know more about the school’s strategic planning and how teacher observation data is being used to support our instructional quality? If so, attend the April 24 Principals’ Coffee, where Mr. Sarsalejo and I will provide a high-level viewpoint of the work being done to move the school's education forward strategically.

LifePlus Basketball Tournament

We are thrilled to host the LifePlus Grade 6 – 8 Basketball Tournament on April 26 and 27 on our campus. If you have the opportunity, I encourage you to support our student-athletes by attending the basketball games. The basketball tournament atmosphere is always more exciting when you are there in support.

Re-Enrollment

Re-enrollment for the 2024 – 2025 school year begins next Friday, April 19. The re-enrollment discount is a great opportunity, but it's only available to those who complete the process within the early-bird window. Don’t miss out on securing your child's spot for the next school year!

I look forward to seeing you all as we support the cast and crew in The Rules of Comedy tonight and tomorrow.
