Spring Play

Drama

Last week’s Spring Play was our first play in a year. We’ve waited a long time to enjoy our student’s dramatic performances again, and it was well worth the wait. Last week’s play, titled The Internet is a Distract_Oh LOOK a Kitten! was a comedy taking a hilarious, albeit relatable, perspective on the distractions of the internet.

Directed by our Theatre Arts Teacher, Mrs. Rachel Way, this production centered around the student, Micah, performed by Evan P., who has only a short time to finish his paper on The Great Gatsby. Though checking quick facts should be simple, the internet unloads its distractions through incorrect information, difficulty reaching peers, falsifying identities, and pause-worthy games.

With a cast of six, our students were stretched to perform numerous roles, each of which introduced comedic and wild moments. Thanks to our hair and makeup crew, our stage crew, and technicians, even with these quick switches of characters, the show continued running smoothly.

Well done to all who took part in this production! Thank you to our staff and students for pouring your time and efforts to make this a wonderful and entertaining performance. Thank you to all who attended for showing your support
