TIS is now accepting applications for the Second Semester.  If you have other children who wish to apply or friends who are interested in applying to TIS, please see the following dates for upcoming admissions testing:

International Day 

See you there!!  Next Wednesday, 18th October. We are encouraging everyone, parents, students and teachers alike to wear their National/Traditional Clothes. See details in the second tab.

  • The Schedule:  All activities, games and food outside.  Programme in the auditorium.
  • Transportation for this Day.  Please note that all non-student busses will be arriving at TIS for 9:30am.   All busses that day will leave at 2:15pm, however there will be a 5:10pm bus for the High School Volleyball athletes.

 

Flu Shot Clinic Letter

In cooperation with Tianjin United Family Hospital, TIS will offer a flu shot clinic on campus Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon in the TIS health clinic. Services are available to all TIS staff, students and their families.

 

Please follow these guidelines:

  • Email nurse@tiseagles.com to make a reservation before November 1. Please include name, grade and birthdate for each student and/or family member.
  • Children under 7 may not receive the flu shot on campus. You may take your child to TJUFH. Their flu shot hours are Mon-Thurs 9-3:30 and Saturday 9-4:30pm.  (Children under 2 years old need to make an appointment.) T: 5856-8500
  • Children under 9 who have never had the flu shot before will be required to have two doses, one month apart. They may receive the first dose at TIS and the second dose will need to be at TJUFH. See above hours.
  • Each person receiving the flu shot must complete three (3) consent forms(click the link below). These are required by TJUFH for all persons. You may print them out or pick up copies in the health clinic.

Please bring them with you to the clinic on November 8.

  • Please bring 130 RMB cash per person to the clinic on November 8.

(All grade 1 students MUST have a parent present at time of flu shot administration. If no parent is present, no shot will be administered.)

International Day

Every year, TIS celebrates the cultural diversity of our school community through an event called International Day. This year, the focus country is South Korea. We would like to invite you to this event next Wednesday, October 18th. There will be performances, food, and fun activities for you to enjoy. Please come and celebrate this event with us! Please see below for the schedule.

Report Cards

On Wednesday, October 25th, grade reports will be posted. Please log into PowerSchool to see your child’s report card. If you have any questions concerning how to view the report card, please call the ECC secretary, Mrs. Dong (ext. 370).

The elementary health fair and safety week will be from October 23-27th. Each grade’s newsletter will detail what they will be studying throughout the week.

International Day

International Day is next Wednesday. Students, remember to wear clothing that represents your nation well! Be advised that students will be dismissed at 2pm and busses will leave TIS at 2:15pm.

Photography Club

October 20 is the last day of first quarter. First quarter grades will be posted the next week, stay tuned and encourage the students to finish well!

Tutoring Opportunity

Students that are interested in tutoring other students should provide their contact information to Zhang Rong. Please indicate name, subject, age range, language spoken and contact information. Please note that we are only housing this information, and that all contact and arrangements should happen between the interested party and the tutor.
