General Announcements
Report Card Pickup Times
If your child is not returning to TIS next year or is graduating, please note the times you can come to Admissions to pick up report cards:
- Leavers- You can pick up your report cards on Saturday, June 8, from 9:00 A.M. to 12 P.M.
- Seniors- You can come to pick up your report cards on Thursday, June 6 at 10:00 A.M.
Also, if you have not completed the Academic Report Request Form, please do so before May 24th. As always, thank you for choosing TIS. You will always be a part of our family: Once an Eagle, ALWAYS AN EAGLE!
Elementary Spring Concert - Goal!
TIS Elementary students shot and scored during their musical, Goal!
Our students did an excellent job singing and dancing to the many songs in the musical. All of the songs included nicely executed choreography, which you could tell they practiced a lot. Most of the songs also featured the use of giant blow up soccer balls that may or may not have been kicked into the audience! The students made us laugh with their high energy and funny lines, and we all learned more about the importance of working together and competing well.
We are so proud of our students and of the great job that they did during the performance. Thank you to all the parents and everyone in the audience that made it out to the Elementary musical. We hoped you thoroughly enjoyed the performance! We certainly did.
A big thank you also goes to Mrs. Dawn Williams and Ms. Erin Smidt, the people who made this musical happen!
WASC Accreditation Visit
Our visitors representing WASC were very appreciative of the warm TIS welcome they received last Monday and Tuesday. Thank you TIS community for showing our visitors how awesome our community is and how we care for one another. They also appreciated the baked goodies provided for them and commented several times how they did not just feel welcomed, but felt like being at “home”.
Admissions Testing Dates
TIS Admissions Testing Days are coming up! Parents interested in enrolling your child at TIS, please mark your calendars for July 30th, and August 5th. Testing will occur on these dates. Thank you, and we hope to see many future students and parents on Testing Day!
Library Books and Summer Hours
All the outstanding library items should be returned to the library no later than May 31 in order to complete the checkout process. This requirement applies to students, parents, TIS staff, as well as Ldi staff.
The summer session starts on June 17 and ends on July 26, on Mondays and Thursdays from 9 am to 3:30 pm, with Story Time on Mondays @ 10:30 am. We welcome the returning students and staff who remain in Tianjin during the summer to take advantage of the summer session. The library will resume its regular schedule on Tuesday, August 16. We wish you a fun-filled summer reading.
