AP Capstone Honor School Award

Recently announced at the 2024 College Board China Forum, our school received the College Board Award for AP Capstone Honor School in China for the second year running. Our school is one of 13 schools in the country with students who have received AP Capstone Diplomas or Certificates in the last two years.

In the last two years, 31% of our graduating students have received an AP Capstone Diploma, which is the highest honor that AP classes offer. AP Capstone Diplomas are granted to students who have taken the two yearlong courses, AP Seminar and AP Research, and received a score of 3 or higher for the course exams. Students must also have completed four additional AP courses and further received a score of 3 or higher for those exams.

Upon receiving the AP Capstone Diploma, students stand out in the college admissions process by developing the critical skills needed to succeed in college and in their future careers. This diploma allows students to immerse themselves in topics that matter to them while they develop the analytic, research, problem-solving, and communication skills that colleges seek in their applicants.
