Check out these moments from Fine Arts Celebration
Our school is filled to the brim with students who have talents in the arts – in singing or rapping, in painting and drawing, in playing instruments, in dancing, and much more. Each year, through our Fine Arts Celebration, it’s our delight to open the stage to our students, so they can perform and present their talents, which they’ve worked diligently to grow and refine.
At this year’s Fine Arts Celebration, we cheered on a number of performances beginning in our band room. We had talented piano players performing classic pieces, modern sets, and a medley. Along with the piano, other student musicians played drums, clarinet, guitar, violin, and more. We also enjoyed the skills of our students who engaged the audience with pop songs and even rap, a dance performance, and students who worked together to perform as bands.

Between our initial and final performances, time was allotted so all in attendance could appreciate the hard work of our student painters, illustrators, and photographers. Pieces depicted Africa and Asia, seasides and mountaintops, animals and people, and much more. It’s a joy to see the world through the unique eyes of our students.

To begin our finale performances, Skyla C. stunned our audience by playing Beethoven’s "Sonata Op. 2. No. 3." Following, we had a group of four. Performing “I’m not that Girl” from the musical Wicked, RaHee K., YeonSeo L., and ChaeWon S. sang together, accompanied by GaHyeon L.
Elizabeth T. took the stage next and performed the challenging piano piece, “Croatian Rhapsody.” Our final performance of the evening brought back memories and bits of humor through the song "Love is an Open Door" from the movie Frozen. Performed by Lucas C., Gloria D., AhBin J., Jethro M., Carina S., Elizabeth T., and JiWoo Y., the night finished with flair and happiness.
Thank you to all students who performed at this year’s Fine Arts Celebration or presented artwork. Your talents, skills, and hard work are gifts to our community. Thank you also to our Band Director, Mrs. Emmy Chen, and our Choir Director, Mrs. Erin Jin, who organized the event, and to all staff members and volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to support our students.
