Eagle's Nest Week of 5-30-22

Week of 05-30-22

Principal's Pen - ECC and Elementary

Principal's Pen - Secondary

Dear TIS Community,

As we enter a week of exams and our final week of school, I look back to consider all we have experienced this past year. We started the year with hope and excitement of new beginnings of growth, reunions with old friends, and introductions to new ones.

We’ve had to pivot and dodge our way through the school year, considering and reconsidering, planning and replanning, oh so many things bringing us to this point. With so much change and alterations to the original intent, it is easy to be exhausted, and unable to reflect upon the journey students traveled. But when I take a quiet moment, I can see growth and understanding of an ever more complex world than we had even a few years ago in each of our students. I see highly-motivated graduates who, through concerns of missing SAT or AP tests, were still able to prepare and successfully complete their tests with the confidence of a job well done. More than this, they were able to connect and care for each other.

I consider the maturity of our middle school students and how they’ve grown over the last year. Challenges provide learning opportunities, opportunities for us to cower and hide or challenges to overcome.

I am proud to say, TIS students, teachers, parents, and our whole community, continue forward in courage, ready for a summer holiday and future challenges.

Have a wonderful restful summer holiday.

Mr. Delzer
