Dear Families,
As we wrap up a wonderful school year, we would like to extend our congratulations to two special groups: our Kindergartners and 6th Graders!
To our Kindergarten graduates, we are so proud of how much you’ve grown this year. You've learned letters, numbers, how to be a good friend, and so much more. You are ready for the exciting journey ahead in Elementary School!
To our 6th Grade graduates, congratulations on completing your time in Elementary School! You've demonstrated leadership, creativity, and perseverance, and we look forward to seeing all that you will accomplish in Middle School and beyond. We’ll miss you!
As Summer approaches, we encourage all families to carve out time each day for reading. Whether it’s a favorite series, bedtime stories, or a new book from the library, reading helps keep young minds growing even during the break. Ask questions, discuss the stories, and model reading at home — it all makes a significant difference.
We also want to say goodbye to those families who are moving on to new places, countries, and adventures. You’ve been an important part of our school community, and while we’re sad to see you go, we’re thankful for the time we’ve shared. We wish you all the best in your next chapter and hope you take with you wonderful memories of your time here.
Wishing you all a joyful, restful, and book-filled Summer. Congratulations again to our amazing graduates!
Warmly,
Miss Barsalou
Hear from the Head
TIS Family,
As we bring the 2024–2025 academic year to a close within the next few days, I encourage you to take a few minutes for intentional reflection. Can you recognize your growth this year? Did you face challenges that were resolved, or what do you need to do to resolve them? Who are those people that you are so thankful to have in your life? School calendars provide excellent opportunities for endings and new beginnings, so take some time this Summer, and consider how you can grow personally.
Senior Graduation
The Graduating class of 2025 will receive their diplomas tonight. We are so proud of all of our graduates, both for what you have accomplished and for what we are excited to see you achieve in the future. You join the ranks of nearly 600 Tianjin International School graduates throughout our 39-year history. Although that number may not seem vast, it represents an accomplished group of individuals who have been uniquely equipped to become successful leaders beyond the campus of Tianjin International School. Never forget that you will always be one of us. You will always be part of the TIS Family. We hope you won’t forget us and that you will visit one day, but we have confidence that you are well-prepared for the future. Congratulations!
Summer
We have four more days of school together, and then we will never all be in the same place ever again. The Summer is an excellent opportunity for family vacations and relaxation. Before we part ways, I want everyone who is moving from TIS to a new season of life to know that you will always be loved here, and our love goes with you to your next destination. For everyone who is returning in two months, the end of Summer brings excitement. There will be new students, new teachers, new campus updates, and a new excitement as we celebrate our 40th School Year.
See you soon!
