Welcome back and our 40th academic year
August 15, 2025
Hear from the Head
TIS Family,
The first week of the 2025–2026 school year is already complete. The positive energy that is easily noticeable throughout the building has been clear this week through the excitement students have shown about being back at school. As you know, we are a relational community that continues to build a culture that is truly welcoming while maintaining high academic standards. Together, we aim to ensure that whether you are new to our family or have been part of it for many years, you will always feel confident in knowing that if you are “Once an Eagle,” then you are “Always an Eagle.”
40th Year
This school year, we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Tianjin International School providing education for the children of foreigners. As the second-oldest continuously operating foreign children’s school in China, our school’s leadership in education has proven its resilience, with our pioneering spirit continuing to set a standard of educational quality in Tianjin. We look forward to celebrating and commemorating this historic milestone throughout the year. Our 40th anniversary will be officially commemorated during this year’s annual International Day on September 26. Please look for details in the coming weeks.
Open House
All Parents, please mark your calendars for next Friday, August 22, and plan to attend our annual Open House. This evening offers a wonderful opportunity to see your children’s classrooms, hear from their teachers, and learn about the school year. It’s always a well-attended event, and we believe it will be a valuable chance to build positive relationships throughout the evening.
We trust that you continue to have a great start to the school year. The calendar is filled with opportunities for all of us to enjoy, and we look forward to having all of you join along the way. Whether it is Principals’ Coffee, athletic events, Fall Camp, or more, we are excited for the opportunities to enjoy this 40th year together.
Sincerely,
Ryan Witt
