Principals' Pen
ECC & Elementary
Dear Parents,
Last week was a busy week, full of fun activities. Midweek, we had Principals’ Coffee, and we ended the week with ISCOT soccer at Wellington. At Principals’ Coffee, we talked about transitions and the grief we can all feel as we live in a transient community, and many of us live outside our passport culture. We discussed grief towers, what they are, and how to unstack them or process grief over time on a regular basis to help students and families process life in healthy ways. If you would like to know more about this, please feel free to contact me, and I am happy to share the resources with you.
We had our final ISCOT soccer event for this school year last week. It was a huge success, and we are grateful to all the parents who came out to cheer and enjoy time together outside the classroom. The students learned how to work as a team and to win and lose well, even when the outcome is exciting or disappointing. I am proud of the character our students showed at ISCOT last Friday.
Warmly,
Miss Barsalou
