Parents,
What an awesome second half of the semester it has turned out to be. I hope you were able to watch our High School boys and girls play in the LifePlus Tournament in Wuhan. I loved being able to watch the replays on the livestream as well as receive live updates on the new app. Both teams played incredibly hard. Our girls placed first, taking Chengdu down 2-0 in the final game. Impressively, no team scored a goal on our girls the entire tournament. Our boys also played with a lot of grit and determination and earned a valiant third place trophy. Thank you to all coaches and players for an incredible tournament.
This week has also been marked by TIS having the privilege of hosting many universities. We saw Hong Kong Science and Technology on Monday. On Thursday, the Dean of Admissions from KAIST, Mr. Kim, gave a presentation about the admissions process and the types of students who thrive at KAIST. I had the pleasure of meeting with Mr. Kim throughout the day. We were honored KAIST chose to visit our school before heading back to Korea today. And if you’d like to hear from another university, Hong Kong Baptist University will be here on Monday. A special thank you to our College and Career Counselors, Mrs. McTaggart and Ms. Jackie Lee, for fostering relationships and organizing these visits.
Lastly, we are excited to be hosting the LifePlus Middle School Basketball Tournament. You can watch all the games in the livestream or come cheer in person today and Saturday morning. Go Eagles!
Sincerely,
Mr. Way
