What was your favorite event from Quarter 2?

Just as busy as our first quarter of the 2025-2026 school year, our second quarter has been filled with so many special events and moments. In the first week of our second quarter, our Middle School boys’ and girls’ soccer teams traveled to our LifePlus partner school in Yantai, Yantai Huasheng International School, to compete over several days. Nearing the end of October, our staff and students showed school spirit. In the same busy week, our Library featured two events: our book fair and a special visit from the author, Stephen Davies.

November challenged our students in the arts, sciences, and in collaboration. Our Fine Arts Celebration welcomed our many talented students to share what they’ve practiced outside of the classroom. They played musical instruments, sang, danced, rapped, and formed bands. Just a few days after, we were honored to host the Hexi Teacher Training, which welcomed local Tianjin teachers and provided them with different seminars. Quickly following, TIANMUN, an event that relies on our students to work with other schools for months, pushed participants to dive deep into world issues and collaborate on potential solutions.

Still within the month of November, our second Principals’ Coffee of the school year invited five students to share about their experiences at our school. The long-anticipated Fall Play production of Treasure Island came next and was a great success, filling out the auditorium for both performances. Just a few days after, six groups presented at our annual Science Fair.

Though we’ve only had a few short weeks of December dedicated to Quarter 2, we’ve stretched each moment. We’ve had three concerts, beginning with our Secondary Band Christmas Concert, followed by our Secondary Choir Christmas Concert, and concluding with our ECC and Elementary Christmas Concert. Finally, we had a wonderful Christmas Bazaar that welcomed all in our local community, then cheered on our hardworking AP Art students who presented their projects in progress.

Thank you for such a great Quarter 2. We know it’s been packed, but it has been filled with memories that will long be treasured. We look forward to our third quarter after the break.
