Principal's Pen

ECC & Elementary

Dear Parents,

The year is off to a great start. It is great to have completed the second week of school. The start of the school year is what I waited for all summer. Being in school is so fun and provides stability and routines in the lives of students and teachers. Having parents on campus for Open House is also a great time for parents and teachers to connect.

This year, we have restarted our House competitions and activities. Today, Elementary had its first House activity of the year. It was a huge success and a great time for bonding between the House members. Please help your child participate in House weekly by wearing their House shirt each Friday. If your child needs a new shirt, they are on sale in the Hub daily.

Secondary

Dear Parents,

Our first full week of school has already been memorable. I'm excited that Season 1 of athletics has begun. Middle School students are playing soccer, while High School students are playing volleyball. Sport is a critical aspect of holistic education here at TIS. Competition reinforces character development, teamwork, and determination. I look forward to cheering on our Eagles throughout Season 1 and hope to see you on the court and the field!

I’m also thrilled about Fall Camp, which is a little over a month away. We will be again traveling to the Ji Xian area. Fall Camp is one of my favorite events. Students will compete in a series of games and competitions, culminating in an original drama production, all for a chance to win the coveted Fall Camp Cup. Cup. Cup. Cup. Look for more information as we get closer to the end of September.
