Health Office
Parents,
During this time of the year, many students become susceptible to catching a cold or virus. There are seasonal changes, the immune system is not as strong, and the heating is turned off. Especially, Norovirus or food poisoning can cause diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. We have heard that Norovirus spread widely in the city. At this time, we need to pay attention to personal hygiene and eat healthy food and keep warm to prevent infectious diseases. Also, continue to be reminded that hand hygiene and wearing a mask are the BEST ways to prevent the spread of germs.
Please help us to maintain a safe and heathy environment by not sending your child to school if they are ill, have a cough or runny nose that cannot be independently controlled inside a classroom, a fever at or above 37.7˚C (100˚F), a rash related with illness (chicken pox, measles, roseola, etc.), or have vomited or had diarrhea (3 or more watery stools in a day) from sickness in the past 24 hours. Your child must be fever-free for 24 hours without any fever-reducing medication, have not vomited, and have not had diarrhea to return to school.
